Good news for those of you looking to get involved in the exciting UNIMA Symposium β Borders: Puppetry Unborders! The submission deadline has been extended to 15th February 2025, giving you a little more time to send in your proposals and share your thoughts on how puppetry can challenge and transcend boundaries.
Taking place as part of the 2025 UNIMA Congress and the Chuncheon World Puppet Festival in South Korea, this symposium invites you to explore the question: How do puppets, animated objects, and related animants (yes, that includes all the things that move!) question, fracture, and even break down borders?

The symposium is keen to explore how puppetry can challenge, cross, and disrupt boundaries, whether in art, culture, or society. Whether youβre exploring traditional puppetryβs impact or offering a modern take, your research or creative presentation is welcomed.

Languages: You can submit in either Korean or English.
Submission Format: You can submit either an academic paper or a presentation of art practices, with a maximum length of 20 minutes.
