A season of storms, snow, and small owls with big dreams.
Dear readers (and tiny theatre-goers with excellent taste),
Little Angel Theatre has flung open the velvet curtain on its Autumn/Winter 2025–26 season, and it’s a beautifully crafted collection of puppetry, storytelling, and theatrical joy.
This season is bursting with colour, heart, and handmade magic. From stormy seas to snowy landscapes, from bear hunts to bedtime stars, there’s a story here for every child — and every adult who remembers what it means to wonder.
Here’s what’s coming up — get your mittens ready.
6 Sept – 8 Nov | Ages 3–8
It’s back. The muddy, splashy, grass-swishy adventure based on Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury’s classic picture book returns to the stage. With enchanting puppets and that all-too-familiar cave, this is the perfect nostalgia fix for grown-ups and pure theatre joy for kids. No actual bears were harmed in the making of this show.
13 Sept – 8 Nov | Ages 2–5
Meet one curious owl who decides to stay up past bedtime and discovers a world bursting with colour, light, and big feelings. Based on Tim Hopgood’s beautiful book, this is a gentle, glowing introduction to theatre for little ones just learning to say “wow” unironically.
15 Nov – 25 Jan 2026 | Ages 2–5
A baby penguin. A snowy wilderness. And a big, warm hug of a story about love, family, and waddling through the ups and downs of life. Emma Dodd’s wintry favourite gets the puppet treatment in a show that’s basically a hot chocolate for your soul.
22 Nov – 24 Jan 2026 | Ages 4–8
A lonely boy, a stormy sea, and a whale that changes everything. Benji Davies’ touching tale returns with music, puppetry, and the emotional punch of a Pixar short. Prepare for quiet sniffling in row three. (That’ll be you.)
