What’s the Show About?
Peer into a tiny, ever-changing world where bugs speak their own language, seasons pass, and small things grow into big ideas. Adapted from Carson Ellis’ award-winning picture book, Du Iz Tak? is a visually enchanting puppet show for families — told entirely in a made-up insect language that’s expressive, playful, and universally understood.
“As the grass grows and flowers bloom, a tiny cast of insect puppets chat, climb, and transform the world beneath your feet…”
This 30-minute show is followed by a 10-minute “Meet the Puppets” session, where children and adults can get up close to the beautiful miniatures. A puppet-making workshop can also be added for schools, libraries, and festivals.

About Tiny Pickles
Tiny Pickles is a Brighton-based theatre company specialising in puppetry, miniature sets, and theatre that’s vibrant, tactile, and sometimes edible-looking.
Founded by artists Annie Brooks and Katherine Morton, and joined by writer and performer Sophie Powell, and puppeteer-teacher Lisa Mills, the team came together after years of creating with companies like Long Nose Puppets. Together, they bring joyful, imaginative theatre to schools, libraries, festivals, and community spaces across the UK.
With roots in puppet making, physical theatre, and visual storytelling, Tiny Pickles creates experiences that spark curiosity and invite audiences to slow down and marvel at the magic in the miniature.
