📅 Available for 2026 bookings

What’s the Show About?
Witch does what witches do best… she flies, she grumbles, and she eats biscuits. The last thing she wants in her life is… an egg.
Should she eat it? Hatch it? Keep it? The Witch and the Egg follows one cantankerous witch as she stumbles into unexpected companionship — and learns that change can be messy, magical, and full of surprises.
“Told with exquisite shadow puppetry and warmth, this is a heart-filled tale about unexpected joy, transformation, and listening to your gut — or egg.”
Inspired by Madeleine Edmondson’s book The Witch’s Egg, this one-performer show is full of humour, audience interaction, and stunning shadow visuals. A specially commissioned soundscape enhances the emotional world of the piece.
After the show, children and families are invited to explore shadow play themselves in a gentle “Stay & Play” session.
