Exciting news! Applications are now open for the Curious Professional 8-Week Intensive Course, running from 19 January – 21 March 2026. This immersive, in-person course is designed for adults eager to incorporate puppetry performance into their creative practice and professional work. It’s the perfect opportunity to enhance your skills and explore new ways of performing in a collaborative theatre-making environment.
This intensive programme will be taught by professional puppeteers, directors, and artists who bring a variety of practices and perspectives into the studio. The course focuses on puppetry performance techniques, rather than puppet-making, and encourages an openness to applying these skills in both independent and company settings.
Strands of Curious School of Puppetry
Curious School offers three key community strands to meet the diverse needs of its students:
Get Curious: Aimed at artists new to puppetry, with a special focus on diversity and inclusion.
Curious Professional: The 8-week intensive professional training course for those looking to expand their puppetry and theatre-making skills.
Still Curious: A supportive alumni network, promoting peer-to-peer knowledge sharing and ongoing professional development.

Founded in 2015 by Sarah Wright, Curious School of Puppetry is an artist-led training programme dedicated to expanding the professional work and creative practice of individuals through the art of puppetry. With a focus on performance, theatre making, and collaboration, Curious has been reaching creative minds across the UK.
