Workshop Overview:
Are you ready to create a puppet show but unsure where to begin? Or perhaps you're an experienced artist still working to refine your creative process? This online workshop, taught by Liz Howls, is designed to help you take your ideas to the next level.
In these two 90-minute sessions, Liz will provide you with the tools, exercises, and tips you need to jump-start your puppet show project. Whether it’s about managing the practical aspects of your project or finding ways to make your puppet world and story come alive, this workshop will give you the structure and confidence you need to succeed.

Generating New Work: Creative exercises and tips for fresh inspiration.
Balancing Art Forms: Learn how to juggle the different elements that make up a puppet show.
Project Management: How to organise and structure your project from start to finish.

About Liz Howls:
Liz Howls is a multimedia artist and puppeteer with over 25 years of experience creating and building puppet shows for children and adults. She also works in stop-motion animation as an assistant director. Liz is the executive director of Full Moon Puppet Arts, a Minneapolis-based non-profit that offers adult workshops and programmes in the puppet arts. Although she relocated to Portland in 2021, Liz continues to stay closely connected to her Minneapolis community.
